Hi! In case someone finds it useful: I designed an external PATA/IDE card for TA Alphatronic PC that allows the use of, for example, CF cards as the storage. There's a new boot ROM for the external ROM socket and a modified CP/M 2.2 that can use the PATA/IDE interface. An easy way to run CP/M even when you can't get hold of the original floppy drives. https://bitbucket.org/jukka5/cp-m-pata-ide/src/main/

Hi Jurgen,

Are able to help. We a website dedicated to the Tatung Einstein TC01 & 256 computer.

https://www.tatungbytes.co.uk/

CAn you spread the word with your group as we are looking for coders who can create or port MSX 1 & 2 games over to the Tatung Einstein TC01 and 256. The TC01 has been proven with a guide on our website on conversion process but we lack the coders to assist in converting games over to the Einstein.

We haven't managed a new 256 game because again we lack the programming skills which I hope you may be able to help.
I have my contact details shown below and I do occasionally sell Tatung TC01 & 256 computers on ebay- I still have a couple of New 256 computers in stock.

Check out the content as we are also trying to produce the speculator boards so more Einstein owners can run ZX spectrum games on this machine....
Many thanks

Great story!!!!

I still use my 1st C64 as well. ( My C64 is from 1983 ). Started with a dataset and I guess a year later a diskdrive and of course 2 competition pro joysticks. ( All of it still works today. Even the cassettes and floppy's. )

I have used it over the years, but since my attic has become a retro game room, I spent at least 1 evening a week up there. Also a Saturday or Sunday every weekend.

I decided to convert my attic, because I started to collect some more C64's ( 4 in total, with multiple diskdrive's and datasets. ) and a 128D, along with Atari's ( 2600 ) NES, N64, gameboy's, DS, DS Lite etc. Along with some Pong devices from the 70's. And the PS1, 2, 3, 4.

All of it directly playable.

But the most fun things I bought over the last 2 years are the Tape cart sd, PI1541 and since 2 months a XUM 1541. Specialy the XUM 1541 is a joy. Now I can store my own floppy's on my pc and write .prg and .d64 files on fysical floppy's. :)

As at 55, I still love working on my C64. Doing all stuff on it and enjoy also the rest of my collection.
